Usher continues to be a big support to his ex as his stepson’s condition is still critical and his head injury has left him brain dead. Law enforcement needs to get the official prognosis on Usher’s stepson, Kyle Glover, before they can determine how to proceed.

The investigation is still underway, according to ABC News, but law enforcement is waiting for official word from medical staff on Kyle’s condition before they can present the findings of this case to the district attorney’s office. A family friend, Jeffery S Hubbard, 38, was the person who was driving the Jet Ski that injured Kyle and the 15 year-old girl who was with him. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to have played a part in this accident.

MTV reports, the family held a vigil at the hospital and issued a statement Wednesday:

"We know God's in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it's the best way we can all support him now."

Kyle received a head injury with reports that he was brain dead from the accident and the young girl has a laceration on her head and a broken arm. Hubbard ran the two kids over on his Jet Ski as they were being pulled behind a boat in tubes. Both kids were airlifted to the hospital.

While Kyle is Usher’s stepson, he was like one of his own sons to the rap singer. He and Kyle’s mother, Tameka Foster, were divorced a few years ago, but they have been in a bitter custody battle over the two sons Usher and Tameka had together.

The two have put their differences aside and are supporting each other during this trying time. According to Black World, Tameka was out of town at the time the accident occurred, but Usher chartered a plane to get her back home and to the hospital to be by her son’s side.
