Two months out of PATE the bad and the good

I miss the people from rehab. Bad first ok. Lets get it out of the way. It can get lonely around the house. I still can't drive. I was a passenger in a car that was hit two weeks ago. Got a concussion from that. Not happy about that either. I've been sick too. That's a bummer. And I've moved to the other side of the metroplex. That is the negative.

The good news is I'm engaged. I'm a stay at home mom. I have new hobbies thanks to PATE. I LOVE, love, love gardening! I'm working on a beautiful one too. Lots of flowers too. I run a scrap book club. And I sell my scarves on Etsy like they taught me at PATE. I'm learning to be out in the world with non brain injured people. Which was so very scary to me at first. Did I mention I was petrified? Well I'm making out here in the real world. I am making new friends and they don't really know what is going on with my brain. I don't know what they think but they accept me the way that I am. Amazing isn't it. I get to be there for my friends and family which is awesome. A new happy phase of life for me.

I realized I'm telling my story out of order. My next blog will tell the long story of what happened to me. But I want to start putting some information about me out here. And that there is a great life after PATE. And I am proud of me and what I accomplished.

I look forward to making friends here on TryMunity. Thanks to Mike B. and his awesome mom for this site!
